Happy International Workers’ Day!

May 1st commemorates the efforts and sacrifices of millions of workers worldwide. This day reminds us of the struggles for justice, respect for workers’ rights, and appreciation for the hardworking hands that keep the wheels of life turning.
Construction workers, farmers, nurses, and teachers are pillars of societal progress. *Labor* is a symbol of dignity and humanity, and the history of this day narrates the fight for humane working conditions and fair rights.
Today, we must emphasize equality, job security, and the dignity of workers. In a world where technology advances, the core of progress remains human welfare. May we build a world free of discrimination, where wages are fair, and worker safety is prioritized.
Thank you to all laborers who tirelessly make the world more beautiful. The value of your work is beyond measure.

History:
International Workers’ Day, or May Day, is a labor-oriented observance celebrated by the working class on May 1st annually. Communist, socialist, and anarchist parties, alongside labor unions in many countries, mark this day with street demonstrations and events. It commemorates the organized protests of American workers who, on May 1, 1886, launched a nationwide strike demanding an 8-hour workday instead of 14 hours.
For decades, this day has been observed globally (with the exception of the United States, Canada, and a few smaller nations). The U.S. and Canada celebrate “Labor Day” on the first Monday of September.
